There are many advantages to using a solar water pump over a traditional AC unit.
1. There is no need for electrical outlets.
2. You can set up your fountain/pond anywhere in the yard, not only near an AC outlet.
3. Solar water pumps are eco-friendly, as well as user-friendly.
4. They are essentially maintenance free.
5. There is no noise, emissions, or fuel
Will my fountain operate during the night?
Our solar water pumps are unique in that they operate during the day and/or night. Usually solar water pumps are powered entirely by solar panels that require direct sunlight for operation. This means that the pump goes on and off all day long, depending on the amount of sunlight. However all of our solar water pumps have built in batteries that store the suns energy and can be operated during the day or night.
Can I choose what time I would like the solar water pump to turn on?
Yes. Our 3 Watt and 8 Watt solar pumps come with a control timer. This allows you to set the time during the day or night you would like your fountain to turn on.
Where should I place the solar panels?
Our solar water pumps come with 10 feet of cable. This allows you to place the solar panels in an area that will receive the greatest amount of sunlight, up to 10 feet away from your fountain/pond.
When will the solar light turn on?
The solar light turns on when the fountain is operating. The 3 watt and 8 watt solar water pumps come with a solar light that you can add to any fountain or pond.
What is the “Max Head”?
This is the vertical lift of the solar pump. For example, if a solar water pump has a 3 foot max head, this means that it is able to pump water up to 3 feet high. It is important to note that at the 3 foot level, the pump will be providing very little water, so some people suggest buying a solar water pump with a max head that is higher than the height of your fountain.
GPH?
Gallons per hour – check your fountains requirements for the flow rate that your fountain requires to produce an adequate water flow.
My fountain is splashing, what is wrong?
Your water pump is too powerful for your fountain.
